"I came to White Island Tours in 2000 with a BA in English Literature, a background in admin, English teaching in Japan and tour guiding around NZ and lots of overseas travel behind me. And what a ride it's been! I started in sales & reservations, at the same time learning to guide on White Island. I progressed to a supervisory role, then to Operations Manager and, after maternity leave in 2006, now work part time as HR Manager. Highlights have been guiding on awesome White Island, studying geology, contributing to an exciting and growing business, and being given opportunities to develop my own skills. I still get out on the boat every now and then to re-energise - on those days I know I've got one of the best jobs in the world!"
